3D Printing in the McCarthy Library

To have your 3D file printed follow these instructions:

  • Use a CAD program to design a 3D file. For beginners, Tinkercad is recommended.
  • You can also download a pre-designed file from a variety of websites.
  • When a design is ready to be printed, download and email the STL file to library@stjohnshigh.org. Please indicate if a specific color is needed.
    • Colors available: black, gray, white, red, blue, orange, green
  • The library will print the design and notify by email when it is ready to be picked up. Please be sure to check your email in case there are any issues with your print.
  • Priority will be given to 3D prints for classroom assignments.

Additional details:

  • Any print that is a weapon or part of a weapon will not be printed and may result in being reported to the Dean of Students.
  • We cannot accommodate outside filament due to the possibility of jamming or breaking the extruder.
